Update

We arranged to send a large classic white wreath with red roses through Interflora UK and worded it “For the late Mr & Mrs JMB Hughes, our old HM and teacher, from the many Old Frees who remember them with fondness and gratitude and thank them for all their contributions in giving us a head start in life. ” to arrive Mon am at the Chapel of Rest and in time for the funeral yesterday. It cost us 91 pounds.

There has been a good response to our appeal for the proposed tribute and I have not finished responding and totalling the numbers.  Currently we have over 35 contributors who have commited and  we probably will  have a full page tribute to the Hughes's. The family has given its consent for this. 

Mails and commitments have come in from here and overseas including old Frees who are travelling. We have received many photographs of the Hughes and I shall post them in due course.
